About the Drink

About Kava

Kava has a mildly sedative effect and can help reduce inflammation and anxiety.

The drink originates from the Pacific Islands and is made from the roots of the Kava shrub. Piper methysticum (Kava) is made by crushing the sun dried roots of the kava plant into fine powder and mixing it with water. Commonly served in a coconut shell, with the phrase "Bula!" which translates in Fijian to "Hello/Welcome"
